Trans Nzoia: Sialo’s Appointment Excites Kaplamai

Dr. Felix Sialo who has been nominated by Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya to be the deputy county secretary

Residents of  Kaplamai  ward  in Cherangany  sub county have appreciated Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya for the nomination of Dr. Felix Sialo to the position of Deputy County Secretary.

The residents exuded confidence in Dr. Sialo who emerged second in the ward representative race in the 2022 general election saying they believe he has all it takes to deliver on his new mandate.

“We thank the Governor for appointing Sialo to the position of deputy county secretary. We believe he has all it takes to deliver,” said Mr. Noah Lumbasi, a resident of Botwa village.

Sialo’s Profile

Dr. Sialo has vast administrative and qacaedmic experience having worked at Maasai Mara Kabianga  and Mount Kenya Universities.

At Maasai Mara University he has been a full time Lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. The Department is his brainchild. He has been an external examiner as well as an adjunct Lecturer at Kabianga University.

At Mount Kenya University, Dr. Sialo   held various portfolios which include working as the Head of Public Relations, Communication and Marketing at Nakuru Campus. He was within a year moved to Eldoret Campus as the Assistant Registrar Academic Affairs.

He was again within a year promoted to Directorship where he started Mount Kenya University Lodwar Campus. Sialo spearheaded and supervised the growth and development of Lodwar campus including establishment of a multimillion ultra-modern building where Turkana University College is currently hosted.

Dr. Sialo was within 3 years transferred to Kakamega campus in the same capacity as the Director until. He worked at the Kakamega Campus for two years and resigned to join the Maasai Mara University in Narok.

He has a PhD in Development Communication from Laikipia University, Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from Moi University and a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication from the Islamic University (Uganda).

“With such expertise and experience from both private and public sector, Dr. Sialo joins the county government as a positively spirited professional,” said Mr. Lumbasi
