Amani National Congress youth leaders have called on National assembly speaker Justin Muturi to fast track the ejection of nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi from the legislative house following a move by the party to expel him.

Mr. Osostsi was expelled last week through a special National Executive Council (NEC) meeting after adoption of a report of its disciplinary committee recommending his expulsion over claims of misuse of the party’s funds during his tenure as the secretary-general before the 2017 General Election.

The youths who spoke in Kitale said they are angered by a move by Mr. Osotsi to hang on the party on grounds that he is the founder telling him to abide by a resolution to expel him by leaving.

“We are asking Mr. Osotsi to keep off ANC party affairs since we are duly guided by the resolution of the party’s top organ to expel him on grounds of misappropriation of funds,” ANC’s Youth League coordinator Silvados Ambongo said.

They also told him to feel free to join the Orange Democratic Movement ODM party which he has been associating with since he joined parliament to an extent of playing loyalty to its party leader Raila Odinga.

ANC’S youth league social media coordinator Osianya Amira said they will mobilize all youths in the party to stage demos outside parliament buildings in demand of the ouster of the MP if he is not ejected in a week’s time.

“We want him to leave the party and the parliament peacefully or we will be forced to hold demos to call for his expulsion from the legislative house. We are firmly behind our party leader Musalia Mudavadi,” said Mr. Osianya.

The Registrar of political parties Ann Nderitu has so far stopped the expulsion of Nominated MP on grounds that the party did not provide documentary prove that internal resolution mechanism had been completed.
